Every time I come back from Korea, one entire suitcase is filled with Korean makeup and skincare. I love that a lot of it is so affordable and crazy high quality. I’ve been obsessed with Korean cosmetics for years and years and the rest of the world is finally catching up. Korean makeup and skincare has really come front and center in the beauty industry. I really think Korea is setting many of the trends in product, packaging, technology, and application. It makes me so happy that Korean cosmetics are more readily available and at a decent price stateside now. Memebox offers many of the latest Korean beauty products in various curated boxes. They also do a lot of collaborations with internet beauty personalities.
I’ve purchased several pieces from their XO Memebox collection and the entire I Wish Lovely collection as well.
From their XO Memebox collection, I have their cream shadow sticks and a couple of cream shadows. I love cream shadows and the newer formulations are amazing. They don’t crease, last all day, and I love the molten shimmery effect. The cream shadow sticks and cream shadows from this collection are amazing. They’re very pigmented, creamy, easy to blend, and then set. The potted cream shadows definitely have an intense sparkle to them and I love it! I think they’re a great dupe for the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre shadows.
I also picked up the I Wish Lovely collection. This is a collaboration with So Young’s Beauty Room on YouTube. It includes 3 cream shadow sticks, 2 lip and cheek stains, and a concealer. The cream shadows are the same formula as the regular Memebox line – pigmented, creamy, and then they set. The lip and cheek stains are very pigmented, long lasting, and have a gel-cream like texture. The concealer is a little too light for me to use under the eyes, but it works well as a highlight. The only thing I don’t like about is the strong fragrance and it doesn’t dissipate.
All of these items are quite affordable considering the overall quality of each and every product. The potted cream shadows are my favorite, but I think all the products can stand up on their own. Check them out at memebox.com!
